a shared Journey to Muchness
Author’s Letter
For the first time in my life— I am living my truth,
not the other way around.
Intention: becoming Real,

Stories
Stories are found in ordinary places like the written letters from A. Alice telling us about the weather for the wheat fields and how the harvest is coming this year. The words of encouragement for our life’s ups and downs, news of the war, and the health of our beloved grandmother. And sometimes, a witty little joke for my sister and I to tell one another and giggle, no matter the many times it was re-told.
Stories are found in ordinary places like old photo albums documenting a single moment in time infusing life back into a beloved memory, or with multiple shots and from different angles if one is a photographer like me- not wanting to miss that one perfect moment, and then able to delete any.
Stories are found in ordinary keepsakes like a special button from a favorite childhood coat, a broken and locket of curly baby hair, the imprint of a newborn foot, and a Breyer horse statue of Snowman- the famous plough horse who became a world famous jumper, but simply started jumping fences to return to the people he loved after he was sold. Keepsakes are a testimony of time about something ordinary ultimately becoming something extraordinary. Just like Snowman.
Stories are found in ordinary places like people we meet everyday. The owner of the pawnshop- a.k.a. my place of creative funding, shared his story of woe. I stood still and listened instead of heading for the door. And realized I felt a part of something bigger than myself. A big part of being human is taking the time and listening to people share stories.
Stories are found in scenes- be it a sunset vista crowned with magical hues of purple and fire pink flames spreading across the sky, or a heated dispute amongst family members in the living room- equally as colorful. The many scenes of our lives are times remembered. They all have a story.
Stories have one thing in common: Time- the many times it/the joke was re-told, a photograph documenting a single moment in time, keepsakes are a testimony of time, being human is taking the time, and many scenes of our lives are times remembered.
Stories are like windows in time. We the writers are story-tellers of windows.
Beyond to muchness
Muchness is not about being "too much" in a negative sense, but rather it is the essence of who you are inside—what you love, what you believe, and your unique creative spirit.
Practice childlike wonder.
Use authentic power.
Believe the “impossible”.
In summary, the journey to muchness is a return to a "Muchier" state—a life lived with, and not in spite of, your full intensity, creativity, and unique spirit.
There is a light inside you that only you can shine. No one else has been given your light. You can be as bright or dim as you like.
Muchness is our destination.
Five ways to Find Your Muchness
Make sure to tell yourself that you can do whatever you believe is possible
Encourage yourself to push past your fears
Remind yourself that you have to face obstacles in order to be fierce
Assure yourself that you’ll always be there to cheer yourself on, even if you doubt you can do it, fall down, or fail in the process
Communicate that you believe in yourself until you believe in yourself
Your muchness has the potential to change the world!
I invite you to be part of the MUCHNESS chat community and share the journey to your own Muchness: tell us what happens! Possibly two steps forward and ten steps backwards at times, but ain’t it grand? Just beginning the Journey to Muchness is where it starts. If you identify as a multipotentialite {artist of muchness} this is your place to flap your wings. No judgments here. Crayons or paintbrushes welcome.
I now offer paid subscriptions that come with downloads and journaling merch. I do rely upon reader support for my content creation and livelihood. Please consider becoming a paid subscriber for $5.
And with great pleasure I introduce my tip-jar at Wild Swan Coffee to keep me revved and bright and alert and full of new ideas of muchness for the journey:

Oh, I loved reading the book about Snowman - what an incredible horse and story. And I too have Breyers in my rooms :) ❤️
